    WHY IT WORKS

    Our RAIN Irrigation System applies the water at a rate that allows the soil to absorb it efficiently. This means you can use up to 50% less water to achieve an up to 20% yield increase. RAIN works with your existing pivot systems to achieve target soil moisture uniformly. The key to this is understanding soil infiltration capacity.

    1. INFILTRATION CURVE

    Water application exceeding this soil infiltration curve will cause inconsistent soil moisture in the field.

    2. Traditional Sprinkler System Curve

    The Orange area represents the water that is being wasted by being redistributed to low spots because the soil has become oversaturated.

    3. RAIN SPRINKLER SYSTEM

    These two lower curves represent the RAIN sprinkler System. With the leading sprinkler applying more water then the following one to stay under the infiltration curve.

    HOW IT WORKS

    The key to improving water efficiency is to reduce application intensity by increasing the wetted area under the pivot. RAIN’s unique sprinkler offsets are designed to do exactly this, creating an even distribution over a larger area, improving infiltration and reducing plant stress and water pooling.

This works by reducing apparition intensity by up to 400%, which allows the water to infiltrate your soil effectively and not pool and redistribute in the wheel tracks that eventually cause wheel ruts.
